As a Merchant Navy radio officer, Ian served on the Samite, Samforth and Samnesse, three of the Liberty ships given to Britain under the wartime Lend-Lease Agreement with the United States.
All Ian's audio books have been published, in greater detail, in the Nautical magazine of Glasgow, to which he regularly contributes.
